William R. Rhodes

Dear Friends:

Please find attached an essay by Frank Vogl and I published on the 75th anniversary of the conference at Bretton Woods, New Hampshire, that established the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. Our essay provides the history of efforts at both institutions to counter corruption, then it proposes vital new policy and program actions that they need to take with urgency and with greater commitment than has been seen in recent years.

The essay is published today by the Bretton Woods Committee in a “Compendium” of 50 articles on many aspects of the World Bank and the IMF.

I look forward to hearing your comments on the essay and please do share it with your colleagues and networks.

Regards,

Bill Rhodes
